病毒无界，大爱无疆。在中国抗击新冠肺炎疫情的艰难时刻，塞浦路斯阿纳斯塔西亚迪斯总统、西卢里斯议长、赫里斯托都里迪斯外长分别致函中方领导人，表达诚挚慰问和坚定支持。两国领导人还以发视频、通电话等方式相互支持和鼓励，总统和议长专门录制的视频更是深深打动了中国人民的心。

任何人都无需担心或认为有可能对这里的华人社区存在任何形式的歧视。居住在塞岛的中国人受到的待遇将同塞浦路斯共和国所有其他居民一样。

Nobody should either worry or consider that it would be possible in any way to exist any discrimination whatsoever against the Chinese community here...The Chinese living in Cyprus are being dealt with in the same way as all other residents of the Republic of Cyprus.

4月17日，中国王毅国务委员兼外长同塞浦路斯外长赫里斯托都里迪斯通电话，就中塞合作抗疫、双边关系等议题进行了深入友好的交流。
